My client, a business within the education sector, is looking for a Recruitment & Talent Specialist to join their team on a 6 month contract basis.


Working within the busy HR department, you will be responsible for:



  • Responsible for strategic recruitment, supporting the development and implementation of the talent acquisition strategy in close partnership with the HR team

  • Negotiating contracts with agencies and other external resourcing providers

  • Discussing resource requirements with key stakeholders and to organise suitable recruitment campaigns to meet hiring needs

  • Developing and executing sourcing plans, conducting direct sourcing activity, headhunting, screening, interviewing, shortlisting and offer management

  • Sourcing candidates using databases, social media, headhunting and cold calling etc

  • Employing recruiting methods to attract candidates (e.g. job advertising)

  • Working with the People & Data Analyst to report on the recruitment life cycle for both permanent and agency staff

  • Managing the content for recruitment pages on the college website

  • Effectively manage the recruitment of staff via direct channels ensuring all avenues are explored prior to engaging external agency workers

  • Supporting with liaising with internal stakeholders and agencies and ensure timely advertising of roles internally and externally

  • Managing the PSL and the procurement of any new suppliers

  • Liaising with Agencies to organise agency booking requirements, notifying key stakeholders of new starters and leavers and responding to queries and issues with hiring managers

  • Coordinating recruitment events for bank workers and permanent positions

  • Headhunting, identifying and approaching suitable candidates for vacancies

  • Supporting the Head of HR & People Services to manage costs through appropriate controls and reporting processes

  • Preparing reports for the Head of HR & People Services as well as the Head of Finance in regards to temporary staff bookings, accurately forecasting requirements across curriculum areas proactively identifying gaps in resource based on timetable and project requirements

  • Reconciling monthly invoices and ensure these are consistent with agency bookings and timetabled hours

  • Supporting, training and coaching all hiring managers with recruitment and selection to ensure they are using a scoring matrix for all recruitment and selection decisions

  • Working with the People, Systems and Data Analyst to improve recruitment tracking and logging processes to make them more efficient

  • Holding weekly recruitment update meetings to ensure progress is being made on vacancies and to update the team on each

  • Responsible for record keeping and ensuring that correct contracts are issued and that references, DBS and right to works are all followed up and in place
