We are working with a Luxury Hair salon based in South Kensington; you will be a key member of a tight-knit team with a great can-do attitude.

The ideal candidate will have strong Customer Service, Communication, and organisation skills with an excellent attention to detail.

JOB ROLE: Receptionist

JOB TYPE: Full time, Permanent

HOURS: Tuesday - Saturday

8.30-5.30 (opening shift)

9.30-6.30 and 11.30-8.30 on Thursday and Friday (closing shift)

Opening and closing shifts will rotate weekly

SALARY: £24,000 per annum

LOCATION: South Kensington, London

  • Welcoming and greeting all clients in a friendly and professional manner

  • Managing the Shortcuts Booking System: stylist columns, staff communications, point of sale, stock keeping, schedules etc.

  • Answering the phone in a pleasant and upbeat manner

  • Providing teas and coffees, ensuring it is safe to serve to the client in case of allergies (cannot guarantee no trace and advising appropriately).

  • Taking coats/belongings and giving towels

  • Ensuring a sign is out to say no responsibility is taken

  • Ensuring you take a client's details accurately on every first visit: name, telephone number, email address etc

  • It is imperative that ALL colour clients have had a patch test within the last 6 months, signed the patch test form and recorded on their Shortcuts client card.

  • Up selling products at the end of every appointment

  • target £1k per month

  • Ensuring all products and product shelves are clean, dusted and are inviting for clients

  • Ensuring the reception area (and waiting area) is clean, dusted and well stocked

  • Check the toilets are clean, stocked up and presentable

  • Making sure the kitchen is tidy, hygienic, and orderly

  • Keeping magazines up to date, current and clean

  • Wiping the sides regularly, plumping cushions, sweeping the floor etc - to ensure an immaculate area for the clients


  • Receptionist/Admin experience is desirable

  • Excellent telephone manor

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong communication and organisation skills

  • Willingness to travel to events in and around London (Ability to be away from home for 5 nights to assist at yearly programme)
