Office Based

A busy architectural practice based near Wapping is looking to recruit an organised and personable receptionist to join their team!

The successful candidate will be professional, well-presented with excellent communication & interpersonal skills.

You must be willing and able to carry out a number of admin tasks whilst managing a busy switchboard and encountering countless interruptions! Experience of a busy reception and a good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel are definite pre-requisites for this role.

The role is very varied and involves:

  • front of house duties

  • answering the telephones

  • accurate message taking

  • booking meetings & managing meeting rooms

  • booking taxis and couriers

  • ordering & making refreshments

  • updating databases

  • making travel arrangements and hotel bookings

  • stationary ordering

  • keeping front of house clean and tidy

  • running around doing various errands

Candidates must have excellent and accurate typing skills (40 wpm), a professional telephone manner and ideally "switchboard" experience.

Experience in an architectural practice or design environment is highly desirable.
