Office Angels are delighted to be working in partnership with an established secondary school in the Smethwick area to assist with the recruitment of a full time permanent Receptionist / Administrator. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for the successful individual and a pivotal role to the organisation. As the Receptionist / Administrator you will be required to work as part of a team to assist in organising and managing the administrative support systems and activities that facilitates the effective and efficient running of the front office functions, including the day to day function of Reception.


Duties and responsibilities:



  • Reception duties ensuring visitors are welcomed and managed according to safeguarding policies and procedures

  • Providing general administrative support

  • Assisting with the production of correspondence

  • Filing and photocopying

  • Assist with the dealing of queries and complaints

  • Using information systems and prepare information for internal use within excel and word and PowerPoint

  • Assisting with the organising and facilitating of meetings and training events

  • Dealing with enquiries from students and families.

  • Liaising with external organisations as required

  • Supporting at events including open evening and parents evenings

  • Arranging meetings including arrangements for hospitality

  • Supporting the preparation and distribution of academic reports


Skills / Experience required:



  • Reception / Administration experience (essential)

  • Experience of working in a school or education setting (desirable)

  • Excellent telephone manner

  • Proactive, energetic attitude

  • Friendly, helpful demeanour

  • Excellent team player with great interpersonal skills

  • Ability to liaise in a helpful manner

  • Confident in using ICT systems

  • Willingness to collaborate as part of a team

  • Professional, flexible and adaptable

  • DBS Check
