The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Quality & Compliance Assistant to join a busy and established organisation within the health and social care sector on a contract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional with knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding principles and quality assurance processes. Working closely with the Quality & Compliance Manager, you will support the organisation in maintaining regulatory compliance, completing audits, monitoring quality standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidates must hold a current Enhanced DBS and be available to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Support compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding requirements and regulatory obligations.
- Assist with tracking actions from audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
- Conduct scheduled and ad hoc audits across operational and care-related functions.
- Collate audit findings and support action planning and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation.
- Assist with the preparation of quality reports, governance documentation and compliance updates.
- Gather and analyse data to support monitoring and reporting requirements.
- Promote best practice and support a culture of continuous improvement across services.
Essential Requirements
- Current Enhanced DBS.
- Available to start immediately or at short notice.
- Experience working within healthcare, social care or another regulated environment.
- Sound knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding principles.
- Strong administrative, organisational and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently while building effective relationships with stakeholders.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a Quality, Compliance, Audit or Governance role.
- Experience supporting service improvement projects.
- Knowledge of Power BI or advanced Excel reporting.
