JOB TITLE: Qualified Accountant
LOCATION: Taunton, Somerset
SALARY: Circa £35K - £45K PA (negotiable dependant on experience)
HOURS: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday (flexible with start and finish times as long as 7.5 hours worked between 8am - 6pm) 1 hour for lunch.

THE ROLE: You will be a key member of the qualified staff within the team managing a portfolio of your own clients. The role will involve direct client interaction, therefore you will need to be comfortable being the first point of contact, giving proactive, knowledgeable and insightful advice and assistance regularly. As a person you will be commercially sharp, thrive in a bust team environment, have exceptionally communication and interpersonal skills and a true passion for delivering outstanding client care.
KEY DUTIES:
- Managing the day to day needs of your own clients portfolio, including being the first point of contact.
- Planning, carrying out and reviewing client work in a variety of areas within accounting, tax, and commercial business advice.
- Handling client queries and proactively advising them on a wide range of financial and commercial matters.
- Proactively bring matters to the attention of the partners.
- Sharing in staff management and development responsibilities for junior members of the team.
- Delivering exceptional client service.
THE CANDIDATE:
- Prior experience working in an accountancy practice.
- A professional accounting qualification, preferably ACA or ACCA (AAT Level 4 qualified candidates with experience in practice can also be considered)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commercially sharp.
- A positive, self-motivated and focused working attitude.
- An innovative approach to reaching solutions for clients.
- Confident MS Office skills.
