There is possibility of some remote working

We are recruiting for an experienced qualifications Assistant Manager to join a non-profit organisation based in South East London.



This person will be line managing a team of administrators and delivering a professional service for a range of maritime certificates. You will be responsible for monitoring team performance and improving processes.



Duties:



  • Lead the administration of scheme provisions including standards and documentation.

  • Manage applications process

  • Maintain and report on key targets and KPIs

  • Liaise with offshore companies, training centres and candidates

  • Provide line management to staff

  • Propose articles for the monthly newsletter and publications

  • Respond to customer queries and complaints

  • Carry out key supporting duties for stakeholder and other working groups

  • Contribute to senior discussions on new technical solutions, new scheme proposals and initiatives

  • Plus any other task related duties



Requirements:



  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in maritime or similar

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Able to prioritise and delegate work effectively

  • Demonstrable experience leading and motivating teams

  • Calm and approachable

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Demonstrable experience in customer service

  • Ability to solve problems within defined areas of work/knowledge

  • CRM experience
