Join an exciting industry-leading manufacturing organisation as a Purchasing Assistant on a Maternity Cover fixed-term contract! If you're passionate about procurement and have excellent organisation skills, we want to hear from you. Our client, a manufacturer specialising , is seeking a motivated individual to join their team.



Responsibilities:



  • Action material requirements planning based on system suggestions.

  • Perform data entry for the order bank, processing sales and invoicing from Monday to Friday.

  • Generate purchase orders for projects upon receiving quotes.

  • Raise purchase orders for subcontract work.

  • Update bills of materials (BOMs) as needed.

  • Manage part numbers, adding or amending them when required.

  • Monitor project requirements and communicate due dates to the project team.

  • Create new BOMs as necessary.

  • Update purchase orders upon receipt of order confirmations, addressing any discrepancies.

  • Add new suppliers to the system as needed.

  • Raise purchase orders for consumables as requested by the production manager.

  • Place sundry orders once per week.

  • Perform manual stock adjustments for projects, production, damaged items, and returns.

  • Scan and file material certificates.

  • Count stock levels using the MRP system and update the link numbers.

  • Assist with data entry during stock takes.

To excel in this role, you should possess excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities. Strong communication skills are essential to liaise with suppliers and the project team effectively. Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role would be advantageous.
