The company


Office Angels are truly excited to be recruiting for this exciting and fast-paced position. A well established and professional company based in Loughton are looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their growing Accounts department. You will be based in their modern head office and will need to be organised, proactive and have high attention to detail. This is a great opportunity for someone that wants to take the next steps in the career.


Duties



  • Matching purchase orders and purchase invoices for quantity

  • Checking prices on purchase invoices and purchase orders

  • Analysing and approving invoices that are matched for quantity and price

  • Analysing and approving company invoices

  • Overseeing payment enquiries from surveyors and suppliers

  • Overseeing the supplier accounts database

  • Investigate any discrepancies on price and quantity with buyers, suppliers, surveyors and site based staff members

  • Processing services bills in accordance with site readings

  • Maintaining all checks on supplier bank details

  • Processing and updating supplier statements

  • Distributing the post to Accounts Department

  • Other ad hoc duties as required


The ideal candidate



  • You'll have experience working within an accounts department

  • You'll be capable of using account software

  • You'll have strong knowledge of excel

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • You have strong attention to detail

  • You have a willingness to learn

  • You have a proactive mindset
