Are you looking for a new opportunity to work as a Purchasing Manager for a niche and exciting company, providing international distribution? If you are this job could be the perfect role for you! Based in dog-friendly offices in Chertsey, this role will be a key member of the Operations team responsible for Group Purchasing with an awareness of external influences such as legislation, FX rates and environmental pressure along with influencing partnerships with suppliers and other professionals. Supply chain knowledge support and knowledge would be beneficial for this role.

Main Responsibilities:

* Responsibility for Group Purchases for three company subsidiaries and 4-5 Distribution Centres, totalling circa £10m annually.
* Management of global vendors based primarily in the UK, EU, USA and China.
* Development and maintenance of purchasing reports including communication with the global Commercial team.
* Collaboration with Commercial team and Supply Chain Analyst for creation of the group forecast.
* Working with Supply Chain Manager and Analyst to manage group inventory and order fulfilment.
* Working with the New Product Development and Commercial departments to coordinate product launches and promotional activity.
* Proactive management of existing and new global product and supplier tenders
* Final sign off on all purchase invoice and receipts.
* Development of supplier agreements, contracts and performance strategy.

* Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
* Commercial awareness and strong understanding of all aspects of supply chain.
* Strong Project Management skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office including excellent Excel skills.

Experience required:

* Self-motivated and dynamic individual.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Spoken second language (desirable).
* Working knowledge of common ERP systems.
