Salary: £33,000 per annum


Hull City Centre


Full-time 37 hours a week


Office based with home working from 2 days a week

Our client, a local Housing Association, is looking to recruit Property Surveyor to join their team on a full-time basis with the primary responsibility of ensuring they continue to deliver quality services to the residents. The successful applicant will be a time served, confident individual with high attention to detail, good communication skills, proficient with Excel and organised. This role would suit someone wanting to work and make a difference in the charitable sector.


The role:



  • Contributing to the repairs and maintenance programme for the association

  • Contributing to the delivery of the cyclical works programmes for the association

  • Carry out pre and post inspections of routine repairs, maintenance, cyclical works and potential insurance works as required

  • Carrying out stock condition surveys

  • Undertaking void property inspections. Responsible for updating stock condition information, preparing schedules of work / specifications and ensuring works are undertaken within pre-determined limits

  • Liaising with local authorities to provide DFG works to properties


To be successful in this role, you will:



  • Qualification in Construction / Building Studies with over 3 years' relevant experience

  • Health & Safety related qualification (IOSH) is desirable but not essential

  • Good knowledge of building practice to enable defect identification and production of specifications

  • Experience of project management including maintaining a budget

  • A strong desire to deliver and maintain excellent customer service

  • Excellent working knowledge and experience of both Microsoft packages and a CRM system

  • A confident decision maker with demonstrable commercial awareness and the ability to build good working relationships with residents, contractors and staff

  • Own vehicle and a clean driving license is essential for this role

  • Experience of working with Microsoft Teams is an advantage but not essential

  • The ability to work at home effectively with a quiet workspace and fast, reliable broadband connection, preferably fibre optic is desirable but not essential


In return you will be entitled to:



  • A starting salary of £33,000 per annum

  • Business hours of 9am - 5pm with an early finish on a Friday

  • 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays (increasing with service)
