JOB TYPE: Temporary

DURATION: 1-2 months on-going, with the possibility of going permanent

HOURS: Monday - Friday, 30 hours per week (Flexible)


LOCATION: South East London

PAY RATE: £14.87ph - £17.44ph

Office Angels are looking for an experienced Project Officer to join a leading Charity based in South East London. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a great team and for an organisation who make a huge impact on peoples lives.

As a Contract & Project Support Lead your role is critical in ensuring robust project planning procedures are in place for commissioned projects. You will effectively manage a range of systems and processes in order to meet quality assurance, evaluation and monitoring of contract delivery across multiple work streams.

Core Responsibilities

� Responsible for the completion of all necessary project documentation including regular progress reports, risk registers, chairing meetings and the distribution of minutes/actions,

� Oversee the financial security of contracts through day-to-day budget management, ensuring colleagues are delivering projects on time, within budgets and to the agreed outcomes.

� Identify and proactively manage changes in contract scope through mobilisation phases, and put plans in place to mitigate potential issues & risks,

� Assist with the recruitment and co-ordination of project teams to ensure a culture of high performance and achievement is created

� Prepare project-specific communications plans ensuring timely, transparent, and relevant information is provided to internal and external stakeholders

� Work collaboratively with Heads of departments to research, identify and evaluate new initiatives, operating models, or good practice, to secure continuous improvement in our service delivery

� Ensuring projects are maintained within legislative requirements and policy

� Oversee all contract administration management including tendering and procurement documentation for prime and sub contracts

� Provide company bid team with data that will help to secure new and continued funding.

� Develop consistent and rigorous methods to appraise the costs and benefits of new contracts so that decisions can be taken swiftly and positively with awareness and management of risks

� To champion the company at external meetings and events presenting and speaking where needed and promoting the impact of our work

Personal Specification

Knowledge and Skills

� Skilled at project management in a coordinator or officer role managing multiple projects with a variety of contractual obligations

� Knowledge of Facilities Management, Construction and related fields an advantage

� Knowledge of the criminal justice system; prisons, probation and local authorities

� Proven experience of managing budgets, monitoring targets and milestones

� An understanding of principles and procedures for safeguarding vulnerable adults

� Able to collate, input, analyse and report on data in an accurate and timely manner

� Excellent written and verbal communication skills

� Strong IT skills, including proven experience of using project management software, databases, Microsoft packages and collaboration platforms.
