Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm

*You MUST drive and have access to a vehicle due to the nature of this role*

My client, a well-established interior design company based in Chelmsford is seeking an experienced Project Manager/ Estimator to join their team on a permanent basis. Within this role, you will be the sole person within estimating, allowing you to really make the role your own.

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• Assisting in the development of a costings tool


• Preparing accurate and timely cost estimates by analysing technical drawings, tender packages and specifications


• Liaising with customers to gather information required to complete the estimate


• Liaising with suppliers to request costings and negotiating discounts


• Following up all quotations and estimates by telephone and email and answering any queries the customer may have


• Liaising with suppliers to create price comparison tables


• Attending site to take accurate measurements


• Building strong relationships


• Ensuring projects have been completed on time and within budget


• Business development


• Daily use of Excel

The ideal candidate:

• Previous experience within a similar role dealing with commercial clients, essential


• Be able to take accurate measurements with ease


• Must be a car driver to be considered for this role


• Must be a confident user of Microsoft Excel
