Job Title: Procurement Coordinator


Location: Lancing


Rate: £28k - £30k (depending on experience and hourly rate equivalent initially)


Contract Type: Temp to Perm


Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm (Full-Time in the office no hybrid)

Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation, is seeking a talented Procurement Lead to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis!


This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation, ensuring the smooth operation of procurement activities.


Responsibilities:



  • Liaise with key company employees to determine their product and service needs, ensuring thorough understanding of requirements.

  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager on procurement activities, including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, contract preparation, and tender management.

  • Identify purchase requirements and efficiently place and progress purchase orders to fulfilment.

  • Work closely with the commercial and warehouse teams to optimise stock levels, considering warehouse space, customer demand, and stock value.

  • Ensure that suppliers deliver goods on time and in full, maintaining effective communication with the Planning and Customer Service teams regarding delivery statuses.

  • Identify areas for improvement to drive performance and deliver outstanding business results.

  • Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to enhance business operations.


Requirements:



  • Proven experience in a procurement role within the manufacturing industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of procurement processes.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical abilities, with the capacity to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Proficiency in procurement systems and software.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.

  • A proactive approach and a positive mindset, with a genuine enthusiasm for contributing to the success of the organisation.
