Successful and Expanding Global Shipping Company based near the iconic St Katherines Dock is looking to recruit a Payroll Supervisor to join their team!

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join a friendly and dedicated HR team

You will be responsible for the supervision of the payroll function, checking monthly payroll input from HR and from staff directly, inputting into ADP, taking any corrective action as required, and obtaining sign off from Director/Head of HR and liaising with the payroll provider (ADP) to ensure correct payroll figures and payslips are produced.

Duties included:

  • Ensure all benefit related calculations are captured in payroll, such as PMI, gym membership, pensions etc

  • Full understanding statutory requirements appertaining to HMRC and National Insurance Regulations.

  • Advise HR and Finance departments on complex issues relating to payroll, pensions and other statutory requirements

  • Dealing with all payroll and staff benefit related issues with HMRC.

  • Ensure comprehensive reconciliation and audit of Income Tax, National Insurance, statutory payments and pension contributions and that all control accounts are maintained and reconciled, also ensuring compliance with Standing Financial Instructions (SFI's) and GDPR requirements

  • Liaise with MDs, Directors, Managers, Heads of Departments and Employees at all levels to provide information and advice on all aspects of the payroll and pensions.

  • Independently conduct audits on a regular basis with responsibility to advise internal audit, HR and Finance of any irregularities concerning the employment of staff

About you:

  • You will have significant experience in a Payroll - in particular ADP iHCM system software

  • An accounting qualification would be desirable

  • Ability to prepare and present complex Payroll, Benefit and Pension information to Directors or Departments, Inland Revenue and National Statutory bodies.

  • The ability to take an analytical approach to problems with the technical skill to produce financial pay, benefit and pensions reports and advice.

  • Good powers of deduction and attention to detail with the ability to evaluate, assess and report on all aspects of pay, benefits and pensions across the organisation.

  • Immediately available or on short notice - ideal start date Mid August
