Our fantastic client based in Nottingham City Centre is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their busy team. Are you are looking for career-growth and development opportunities? Are you enthusiastic, positive and an experienced Payroll Specialist? Then we have the role for you!


The successful candidate will manage our 3rd party payroll provider to ensure that all employee and associated payments are made accurately, promptly and in line with required legislation, whilst delivering a high level of customer service.


Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:



  • Management of all monthly payroll, ensuring approx. 170 co-workers are paid accurately and on time via our 3rd party supplier, ensuring all pay-elements are correctly applied and relevant deductions processed.

  • Apply working regulations surrounding statutory and company sick pay.

  • Manage and monitor employee records through the HR & payroll system.

  • Maintenance of the HR & payroll system, ensuring that all data is relevant and accurate, updating any necessary changes in a timely manner.

  • Produce reports/MI on a monthly basis.

  • Manage our end-of-year payroll processes including P60s, P11Ds etc.

  • Excellent payroll knowledge including all areas of relevant legislation, taxation and the ability to perform manual calculations.

  • Proven experience managing a payroll relationship with external payroll processors.

  • First-hand experience of dealing with auto-enrolment/re-enrolment.

  • Ability to work independently as payroll subject matter expert and part of the wider HR team.
