Overview:


An exciting opportunity to join an amazing charity as their Payroll Officer on a temporary basis!


You will be supporting the Resources directorate with providing the delivery of comprehensive finance and administration of finance and administrative support. You will also be responsible for ensuring that payroll is processed accurately and on time. Payroll reconciliations and pension returns are performed monthly.


This role will report to the HR Advisor.

Sounds interesting?...Daily duties include:



  • Ensuring staff are paid the right rate, at the right time for hours worked

  • Responsible for the weekly processing of the payroll on People Planner

  • Reviewing the accuracy and completeness of the payroll on People Planner and with Cintra.

  • Responsible for the weekly payroll submission to People Planner

  • Checking the returned file from Cintra for accuracy and completeness

  • Uploading the People Planner file to Cintra Payroll for processing

  • Responsible for the checking of the draft payroll file from Cintra for accuracy and completeness

  • Ensuring all staff are paid on time

  • Ensuring all payments are made to statutory Agencies on time

  • Responsible for the completion of monthly reconciliations of payroll ensuring the payroll is fully reconciled to the Sage system

  • Responsible for all change controls on pension scheme (leaver/joiners/amendments

  • Ensuring that the pensions are paid over to the provider on a timely basis



To be successful in this role you'll need to:



  • Have 4-5 years of payroll experience

  • Be able to check Payroll calculations

  • Understand tax pension deductions

  • Organise and prioritise accordingly.
