Payroll Assistant
£28,000- £30,000 per annum
Brentwood, Essex
Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours

Working alongside the HR team, you will work closely with the HR Director, the Benefits Assistant and an external payroll bureau. You will oversee the payroll function for 500 staff.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Uploading information for new starters and leavers

  • Knowledge of pension schemes, processing pension payments

  • P11Ds - calculating contributions

  • Calculating and uploading holiday entitlement for part time staff

  • Calculating NI, statutory sick pay, maternity pay and uploading details as appropriate

  • Reviewing the information sent through for checking by the payroll bureau and identifying any errors prior to the monthly payroll run

  • Authorising monthly payroll

  • Producing reports for the finance team in relation to payroll

  • Providing support in relation to payroll queries
