My client, a well established sales business, is looking for a Payroll / Administration Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.


You will be responsible for:



  • Processing payroll for 700 people, ensuring this is done accurately within time frames

  • Overseeing all the administrative functions of the company

  • Implement and maintain the administrative systems, and provide support for all the administrative functions within the company

  • Assisting in the identification, development, replacement and implementation of the use of IT to increase efficiency and effectiveness of services and processes

  • Reviewing and maintaining an effective electronic filing system

  • Organising and auditing the company's systems, databases, and procedures

  • Managing the email inbox, answering general emails and postal correspondence with customers and suppliers

  • Ensuring stationary and other consumable supplies are kept at the optimum levels, maintaining supplies of equipment

  • Overseeing the training and induction of administrative staff

  • Providing support to the wider management team and Directors

  • Ensuring office policies and procedures are reviewed and updated, ensuring that Health and Safety procedures are in place, policies are reviewed and updated, and that the policies are observed

  • Checking that data protection laws are being adhered to in relation to the storage of data, and review and update policies

  • Managing the industry accreditation schemes, and ensure all certificates are effectively filed in an easily retrievable location

  • Raising sales invoices and credit notes on time and issuing to the customer

  • Maintaining and updating the customer records on all relevant databases, including Excel spreadsheets and Sage

  • Carrying out other administrative duties as required
