Job Title: Part time HR / Recruitment Administrator

Pay: £11.00 per hour

Job Type: 10 weeks

Location: Birmingham

Hours: Monday to Friday (4� hours per day)

Office Angels are delighted to be working in partnership with an established University to assist in organising and delivering an effective and efficient first line operational recruitment, selection advisory and support service within the human resources department. Ideally you will have HR Administration experience, and a CIPD level 3 qualification

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Advising and supporting recruiting line managers in conducting vacancy reviews and drafting vacancy adverts and job specifications

  • Providing support to oversee the effective and efficient recruitment administration, on day to day basis this will include drafting and proofing job descriptions and advertisements, supporting and overseeing arrangements for interviews

  • Completing pre-employment checks and clearances, including references, DBS vetting, immigration status

  • Producing start date letters and contracts of employment ensuring follow-up action as required

  • Assisting HR colleagues with the induction process for new staff

  • Responding to general HR enquiries and provide general administrative support for the HR function as required

  • Monitoring and recording the completion of probation reviews for new staff, and following up with line managers to ensure that reviews are completed within the required timescales

  • Maintaining filing systems, including employee records as necessary

Skills / Experience required:

  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent including English Language and Mathematics

  • Recent, demonstrable experience of the administration of HR and recruitment and selection processes and experience of carrying out right to work checks

  • Excellent attention to detail in written work

  • Good IT skills including Outlook, Microsoft Word/Excel

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels within the organisation, and with external parties e.g. candidates, recruitment agencies, referees etc
