Are you seeking a part-time finance opportunity? Our client, a leading organisation based in the heart of Manchester, is currently looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their team. If you have a passion for numbers and a desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, then this could be the perfect role for you!



The office is conveniently located just a short walk from Manchester Oxford Road train station and St. Peter's Square tram station.



Responsibilities:



- Processing payments: Be at the forefront of our client's finance operations by handling payments for various individuals and companies.


- Petty cash management: Assist in maintaining the organisation's petty cash funds and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursements.


- Bank reconciliations: Support the finance team in reconciling bank statements and identifying any discrepancies.


- Purchase ledger: Help maintain accurate records of the organisation's purchases and expenses.


- Filing and updating systems: Ensure all financial documents are properly filed and organised, and assist in updating the finance systems.


- Dealing with queries: Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing any finance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.



Requirements:



  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts role is desirable but not essential - this is a great opportunity for a motivated individual looking to launch their career in finance. However, we are looking for some exposure to accounts admin duties such as processing invoices or dealing with finance queries previously.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle numerical data with accuracy.

  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel) and familiarity with finance software is a plus.

  • A proactive and positive approach to work, with the ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
