Are you an experienced Paralegal or Legal Executive looking for a new position with a progressive, client focused firm? Or are you a newly qualified or soon to be qualified solicitor looking for your first opportunity with a supportive team in central Plymouth?


A permanent vacancy has become available in a busy, but very organised, family law department for an energetic newly qualified (or soon to qualify) solicitor, legal executive or senior paralegal with good experience of family law legal work to assist a busy partner.


JOB TITLE: Paralegal / Legal Executive / Newly Qualified Solicitor


LOCATION: Plymouth


HOURS: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday


SALARY: £22, 000 - £30, 000 per annum dependant on experience and qualifications

THE ROLE:


This company are looking to recruit an ambitious individual to assist and work on a partner's files with the support of (and under the supervision of) that partner. You will help a busy family law department with a range of private law family cases which comprise primarily of financial remedy, property and private law children cases, and to generally help the Family Department achieve its goals. You will support the partners in managing their caseloads and progressing cases under the direct supervision of the fee earner. You will meet with clients, take instructions for the preparation of documents and bundles, and deal with enquiries from clients.


THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:



  • This role would suit an experienced paralegal or legal executive, or a newly qualified solicitor

  • Hands on experience in a family law department

  • Practical experience of working in a support role to fee earners

  • An interest in family law

  • Initiative and ambition

  • Strong computer skills
