The Role: PA to Director

Salary: £33,000 - £34,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 36 hours per week 9-5:15 M-Th and 9-5 F.

Hybrid working: Office locations London and Loughborough

Start: December- this role is temporary on going and may even go temp to perm!

Job details:

To provide a confidential high quality administrative support service to the Executive Director. Covering a range of administrative and assistant functions, the PA supports by effectively and efficiently through diary and correspondence management and wider administrative support. As such, this role directly contributes to achieving company strategic ambition to give everyone in England the chance to benefit from sport and physical activity.


Essential knowledge and experience

  • Significant experience of providing senior PA support, with a track record of managing a busy office or senior decision-maker

  • Experience of complex diary management, including balancing conflicting priorities and making travel arrangements

  • Previous experience of co-ordinating administrative systems and processes across a number of associated functions.

  • Previous experience of successfully building and managing effective relationships with high level stakeholders, internally and externally, quickly establishing credibility, and effectively influencing at all levels

  • Previous experience of working in a politically sensitive environment and a proven track record of applying discretion and confidentiality

Executive Essential Skills

  • Advanced IT skills, knowledge and experience of all MS Office applications including Outlook and Microsoft Teams

  • Excellent attention to detail including written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present complex messages at a high level

  • A proven ability to interpret, analyse and disseminate complex and sensitive information appropriately

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to take an innovative approach to identifying and removing blockages to achievement

  • Proven ability to create and sustain confidence in business relationships through stakeholder management

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Strong ability to manage own workload and deal with changing priorities

  • Maintaining a positive and can-do approach, working with resilience and confidence

  • Responsive to changing priorities and reacting in a calm and effective manner

  • Proactive in foreseeing issues and problem solving

  • Being confident to understand and manage changing priorities, responding in a calm and effective manner

  • Able to work positively under pressure whilst maintaining collaborative relationships
