We're recruiting for an exciting opportunity for this established Educational organisation based in Canterbury. The current PA is going on a secondment to another department. This position is available immediately so if you're interested please apply today! Interviews are available immediately, either via MS Teams or Face to Face.

Main purpose of the role:

  • You will be responsible for supporting your Manager with the day-to-day running of the office, including comprehensive e-mail management, office systems and filing system

  • Liaising with a wide range of internal and external contacts on behalf of your Manager

  • As the first point of contact for the office, you will engage with individuals of all levels, including colleagues from across the institution and externally, as well as supporting the Senior Management Team.

  • Drafting, proof-reading and preparation of correspondence, reports, supporting information and presentations

  • Managing projects overseen by your Manager, throughout the whole project lifecycle

  • Monitoring and maintaining office administration activities, including budgets, risk registers, staff recruitment, annual leave and expenses

  • Much of the work is of a sensitive and highly confidential nature and, therefore, you will be required to exercise judgement and discretion at all times

  • Administrative responsibility for events and meetings chaired by your Manager, including organising meetings (e.g. travel, refreshments, room resources), preparation of agendas, collation of papers, minute taking, co-ordination of subsequent action and circulation of papers as appropriate
