An award winning Nursery chain are seeking an experienced PA to provide executive support to the Chief Executive at their central office. This individual will oversee the professional effective and efficient operation of Central Office in Westminster including managing the Reception and Administration team.

LOCATION: Westminster (hybrid working available)


Chief Executive diary management:

  • Arrange, coordinate, schedule, and organise meetings for the CEO. (Internal and external)

  • Monitor and manage all CEO's communication emails and respond as necessary

  • Ensure the CEO is fully briefed and has all the relevant details, papers and relevant info ahead of meetings

  • Agree, arrange and support CEO to attend speaking engagement in the UK and overseas safely

  • Effective and sensitive prioritization of tasks, responses and scheduling with internal and external stakeholders

  • Monitor the EMT diary

  • Prepare, co-ordinate and complete the minutes of all EMT and Trustee meetings in a timely fashion

  • Prepare conference presentations and speeches etc. and help minimise the amount of time the CEO needs to spend on this

  • Be the first point of call for the coordination of all media requests. Manage political, press and PR engagement for the CEO.

Executive Support:

  • Oversee Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts and edit the CEO blog.

  • Support the CEO to ensure the Central Office meets the compliance, legal and health and safety requirements and staff operate within these both internally and externally.

  • Lead, model and ensure the Reception and Admin team operate within all relevant policies and procedures.

  • Support the CEO to develop a culture of work life balance and frame events and activities to fit within good practice.

  • Develop a supply change that allows us to deliver better social impact through procurement.

Event Management:

Including but not limited to:

  • Annual Staff Party and Awards Ceremony

  • Annual Conference

  • Annual Margaret Horn Debate

Leadership and Stakeholder Management:

  • Contribute to the organisation culture which is based on the principle of social justice, inclusivity and diversity.

  • Ensure a high level of customer service across the organisation and with external stakeholders.

  • Lead and manage the Reception and Administration Team, undertaking effective people management, delegation and support using the performance conversation approach.


  • Strong EA related experience in a relevant office role with increasing seniority.

  • Experience of assisting a senior Executive or CEO.

  • Using diplomatic, organizational and technical skills to handle conflicting and changing priorities while supporting the needs of the EMT.

  • Minute taking and meeting preparation including drafting, proof -reading documents and correspondence.

  • Working across a number of projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines.

  • Business awareness. Budget management capability as well as data management and analysis.

  • IT literate - Word/Excel/PowerPoint/CMS.

  • Time management and task prioritisation.

  • Planning and managing including project management.

  • Effective communication across a wide range of relationships and stakeholders.

  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills using a range of styles and judgements within sensitive and confidential contexts .

  • Strong problem-solving and confidence to make and justify decisions.

  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.

  • Energy and can-do attitude.

  • Solution -focused using Innovation and creativity.

  • Emotional intelligence and resilience.

  • Ability to see the team as part of a greater whole and contribute as necessary.

  • Proven leadership including the ability to lead a project or a team to shared success.

  • Understanding or interest in the social and educational context and wider social enterprise sector.

  • Relevant CPD accredited course and/or degree is desirable, but not essential.
