With that in mind, they are currently looking for an Import/Export Coordinator, who will further develop their service and level of quality provided to their customers.


This is a permanent opportunity, which offers a hybrid of home and office working for the right candidate. Salary is depending on experience and can be negotiable for the right person. Full-time working hours, Monday - Friday.


Job summary


To direct and coordinate all activities related to the import and export of products via Air and Ocean. Efficiently and effectively plan, organise and control the process from initial customer inquiry to final delivery. These duties include customer quotes, researching rates with trucking companies/carriers/airlines, billing, costing, invoicing, scheduling/tracking of shipments, coordination with Customers/Co-Loader /Warehouse, customs paperwork completion and profit share completion. This position requires consistent interaction with customers and providing exceptional service to meet their freight and logistics needs


Responsible for UK Consolidations Air and Ocean Import/Exports



  • Ensure that shipments get out on a timely basis

  • Make Bookings

  • Pick up/Delivery arrangements

  • Submit Documentation

  • Communicating with customer/overseas agents as needed

  • Responsible for providing Loading Manifest to Warehouse Operations Staff

  • Follow up on order requests as needed

  • Send Pre-Alerts to Agent and Customer

  • Billing/Costing/Invoicing

  • Complete Profit Share

  • Arrange clearance and delivery of import shipments

  • Ensure that shipments get out on a timely basis

  • Submit Airway Bill Instructions


Responsible for Ocean/Air Import Shipments



  • Chase pre-alerts

  • Work with overseas agents to manage inbound groupage

  • Track shipments

  • Submit to broker for clearance

  • Responsible for submitting funds to Co-loader/Carrier when needed

  • Coordinate delivery arrangements with Trucker and Customer

  • Billing/Costing/Invoicing

  • Complete Profit Share as needed


Customs Duty Deferment



  • Manage company Deferment Approval Number (DAN) ensuring that there is sufficient deferment amount to meet months demand including warehouse packing and Bond Transfers

  • Arrange Transfer funds

  • Obtain and Maintain copy Customs Entries C88's for all entries and complete monthly reporting as required

  • Arrange payment receipts of Duty & VAT within required time frames

  • Check Off Weekly Periodic Deferment Statement issued by Customs & Excise on a weekly basis


Person Specification:



  • Ensures compliance with Employee Handbook, Healthy & Safety and Quality Manual

  • Ensures compliance with laws and regulations

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

  • Use good time management skills and work effectively with all members of the team

  • A minimum of 3 years warehouse experience

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Prioritise multiple projects and maintain strict deadlines
