Saturday 8am - 4pm/4pm - 11pm


Sunday 8am - 4pm/4pm - 11pm


Office Angels Taunton are currently recruiting for several Operations Administrators to work for a large and growing healthcare organisation in Shepton Mallet, Somerset.


This role is initially temporary for 3 - 6 months and is starting on Saturday 10th October. Ideally, we are looking for candidates that can work one shift both Saturday and Sunday however we would still like to hear from you if you're only available for one shift each week.


You will be the key member of the operational team working with the duty clinician's to ensure that face-to-face and/or telephone consultations are undertaken promptly. You will be providing general administrative support, liaising with others within the organisation to ensure that the needs of the patients are met in line with the 'Putting Patient First' ethos of the organisation.


Key duties will be:



  • Set-up centre in preparation for commencement of operations, including switching on and checking all computers and communications equipment

  • Liaise and communicate closely with the Clinical Assessment Service/ Control Centre at all times including at the commencement and completion of duty

  • To manage and share workload and responsibilities with clinicians and non-clinicians making best use of skills and expertise available

  • Acknowledge call details on the computer system as soon as they arrive.

  • Assist and work with each other to ensure that quality and performance is maintained in line with national and local guidelines; ensuring performance standards are adhered to at all times within operational practicalities, including informing the Team/Shift Manager of requirements for additional assistance

  • Complete all documentation and maintain administrative systems appropriate to Company needs

  • Input/update patient call information on to the computer database at each appropriate stage of the call until completion

  • Ensure that prescription protocols are followed in line with Company Procedure

  • Ensure that a full handover is completed, and any outstanding calls are undertaken

  • Note patient's arrival time on the IT system

  • Ensure Team / Shift Manager is informed of any shift over-runs both for yourself and your clinicians

  • Monitor stock levels of stationery and re-order it through agreed processes.

  • Monitor stock levels of drugs and consumables and re-order it through agreed processes

  • Collate paperwork, prescription allocation sheets etc. for collection by the Locality / Operational Team Manager


To be successful in this role you must be computer literate with strong administration skills and have excellent customer care skills, ensuring all patients are put first.
