Our client, a highly reputable provider of legal services is seeking an Office & Service Manager to cover a maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a highly professional company with attractive benefits in a great location.



JOB TITLE: Office / Service Manager


LOCATION: Plymouth


HOURS: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday


DURATION: 12 - 14 months (maternity cover)


SALARY: £29,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on experience

THE ROLE: This role is pivotal to ensuring a high quality service is consistently delivered and maintained across both the Reception & Events and Business Services functions of the organisation. The successful candidate will oversee both of these teams, ensuring the provision of a successful and effective front and back office support service for internal and external clients.



YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:



  • Supervision of the Business Services team and all associated daily operations, coordinating and allocating daily tasks

  • Line management of the Business Services teams and all associated training, support, 1:1's, KPI's and rotas

  • Coordinating day to day building maintenance and obtain quotes for any required works

  • Managing on-site events

  • KPI collection to drive operational excellence and continual improvement

  • Work with the team to ensure a consistent high-quality client experience for all meetings and events.

  • Support Head of Business Services with any projects as required

  • Ensuring health & safety, fire and hygiene regulation compliance and the completion of all relevant risk assessments



WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:



  • Experience of working in top level client service provision (reception, catering, event management)

  • Experience of Project delivery and achieving business goals

  • Experience of positively managing an effective team and having direct reports

  • Ability to build positive working relationships

  • Great observation skills with attention to detail

  • Experience of conflict resolution

  • Flexible and professional approach to work

  • Experience in Business Services functions

  • Excellent communication skills

  • IOSH Qualification desirable
