Part-time - 24 hours per week


Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave - 12 months


£30,000 - £35,000 pro-rata (actual salary £18,000 - £21,000)



Are you an organised and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a dynamic work environment? Our client, a leading professional consultancy, is seeking an Office Manager to join their team in the heart of Manchester City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to be the main face of the organisation, ensuring a smooth running of the office and maximising the potential of the team.


Responsibilities:



  • Welcome and greet both internal and external guests, providing a warm and professional atmosphere.

  • Create and distribute new starter welcome packs, ensuring seamless onboarding.

  • Maintain up-to-date documents regarding contract notice dates, health and safety procedures, and access card lists.

  • Organise and set up weekly office lunches

  • Liaise with Building Management on any facilities issues including air conditioning, lighting, and fire safety.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and oversee routine maintenance to ensure the office functions smoothly.

  • Act as the go-to person for all office-related communications, providing information on lunches, maintenance, events, and calls for action.

  • Collaborate with office managers from other locations to ensure consistency and transparency across all offices.

  • Take the lead in organising and managing office socials, the annual end-of-year party, and any DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) initiatives.

  • Bring a festive spirit to the office by coordinating holiday decorations and arranging charity fundraisers.


Skills and Experience required:



  • Previous experience in a stand-alone admin role

  • Outstanding communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.

  • Experienced in organising and managing events.

  • Availability for an immediate start


Our client offers a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £35,000 per year, pro rata. This fixed-term contract is for a duration of 12 months, with a part-time working pattern and we can consider applicants who are looking for 3 full days (8.30am - 5.30pm) or shorter hours spread across 5 days.


The office is conveniently located just a short walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station and tram stop.
