We are working with a fantastic Academy Trust who is looking for an experienced Office Manager to support with a variation of responsibilities and duties.


If you are a bright and bubbly team player with experience working in a school is looking for a term time only role with most school holidays off!


JOB TITLE: Office Manager

SALARY: £26,780 - £29,081 per annum (this salary has already been pro rata)


HOURS: Monday to Friday, 7:45am - 4:30pm (36hrs a week) Term time + 3 weeks


LOCATION: Pimlico

Responsibilities/Duties



  • Line management of the school's administrative staff where applicable

  • Management of all administrative functions, to include:

    • Email and diary management

    • Admin support to the Principal

    • MIS Systems

    • Attendance

    • Admissions

    • Health and Safety

    • Data Protection

    • Finance



  • Diary management including the scheduling, organising, and arranging of meetings and other commitments.

  • Develop and maintain an effective and efficient office management system.

  • Produce reports, letters, and presentations on various software packages from dictation, notes or draft correspondence where appropriate.

  • Screen and coordinate all correspondence and handle enquiries with total discretion, ensuring that urgent matters are dealt with immediately

  • Liaise with internal and external organisation contacts

  • Health and safety Audits

  • Risk assessments

  • Medical needs and storage of medication

  • To provide financial information to the Trusts Finance team as and when required

  • Ensuring all pupils know how to report concerns to a member of staff

  • Ensure risk assessments are in place, understood and regularly evaluated.

  • Refer all cases of suspected abuse to the local authority and children social care.

  • Support the DSL to manage concerns raised on the school's safeguarding system

  • Liaise with external agencies and safeguarding partners


Skills and Experience



  • You are a friendly team player!

  • Be able to confidently use BROMCOM and/or SIMS & Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent organisational, planning and prioritisation skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Personable and confident, able to build relationships with partners/ key stakeholders

  • Resilient and calm under pressure

  • Adaptable and flexible approach

  • Pro-active and takes initiative

  • Good command of the English language (verbal, written)
