If so then look no further......Office Angels have an exciting opportunity for a Stock Administration Manager to join our client in The Borders (You must have your own transport due to the location). This is a permanent role, working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, Our Client works a 7 day rota so you will work about 1 weekend in 3 (usually only the 1 day out of the weekend). The salary is around £18,000.

The Role:

A successful Stock Administration Manager will plan and budget stock requirements, order stock on a daily basis and control stock levels taking into account events and seasonal fluctuations. As a key member of the team, your role also covers stock control in our clients Edinburgh store and overseas warehouses and is vital to the efficiency and growth of the Clients business.

In stock, made to order and just in time:

  • Order stock via our systems on a daily basis to meet current orders

  • Work closely with customer service teams to ensure any stock delays are dealt with

  • Work directly with customers when required to resolve any stock issues

  • Monitor and maintain cloth stocks for current lines and forward order for new season lines (work closely with staff planning new collections to achieve this)

Stock Planning and Budgeting:

  • Set stock levels for new and existing products, adjust for seasonal fluctuations

  • Plan stock requirements for events and business as a whole, run reports to monitor best selling products and tartans ensuring these are kept in stock and trends are reported

  • Forward order stock and monitor re-order levels and stock breech

  • Continue to build good relationships with our suppliers, negotiate pricing and manufacturing times for bulk orders

  • For new products work with marketing team to ensure samples available for photography in advance of launch

Stock Plan for Amazon:

  • Ensure Amazon top sellers are kept in stock, bulk forward orders are made in March for winter season and shipments planned to allow dispatch to prep and send. Monitor sales every 2 weeks in case adjustment required to shipment plan.


  • Continually improve the efficiency of our systems for made to order items

  • Keep Tracker up to date and ensure procedures are being followed

  • Work with new and existing staff to resolve and improve stock ordering processes

  • Ensure Tracker and website communicating to customers the availability of stock

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Previous experience necessary

  • Experience of handling challenging situations

  • Experience of delivering exceptional Guest service

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to Multitask

  • Excellent Communication essential
