Purpose of the role:

To play a key role in achieving high quality spares project performance and provide day-to-day support to engineering project teams, with regards to spare parts.

Job Duties:

The Spares Coordinator will drive the day-to-day progression of spare parts to multiple customers, as part of a two-person spares team.

  • Be a point of contact for customers throughout a spares project, from receiving a quote request, to ordering parts and successfully delivering them

  • Deal with external suppliers and accurately order parts and equipment using procurement software

  • Liaise with and expedite project suppliers to ensure ordered parts are delivered on time

  • Work with project owners to ensure that accurate financial and resource information is generated

  • Support in administrative aspects of spares contracts

  • Assist in the generation of documentation packs

  • Package and ship spares parts directly to customers

  • Provide administrative support to other staff, when required

  • Visit and work from other work sites as required (largely within the North East of England)

  • Participate in training and development programs as required by the company

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel

  • Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle


  • Previous experience in a comparable role

  • Familiarity with procurement software and processes

  • Interest and/or understanding of engineering systems and subcomponents

  • Ability to read engineering drawings

  • Experience with logistics, shipping and/or exporting
