My client, a professional, successful and progressive business based in Basildon, is looking for a Senior Administrator to join their busy team and oversee the running of the department.

Within this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Taking initiative to ensure all members of the team are trained with a good understanding of all areas of the role and that the each aspect is worked on to a good standard

  • Complete all items specified to an excellent standard

  • Monitoring queries and ensuring that they are worked on in a timely fashion and in the correct way

  • Supporting the team on more difficult notifications and provide training on the different notification types

  • Updating, producing and double checking month end reporting to MD's

  • Ensuring the team are following the correct process and are communicating effectively with the finance department

  • Organise statistics report at the end of each month

  • Keeping track of upcoming events, who is in charge, the event's progress and informing other departments of updates, offering assistance, giving reminders etc

  • Ensuring that all customer welcome packs are completed within a timely fashion by all members of the team, conduct spot checks to ensure they are being completed correctly

  • Ensuring sure new starters are set up correctly and in good time

  • Training new starters on all areas of business support to a good standard

  • Checking that each member of the business support team is chasing customers for information and documents required

  • Providing feedback to Operations Manager of the team's daily routine, each member's performance and of any issues that need addressing

  • Holding regular One to one's with team to check on progress

  • Appraising staff, preparing content and providing feedback

  • Presenting ideas of how to improve current processes when opportunities arise

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 5 GCSE qualifications grade A-C including Maths & English (or equivalent)

  • Excellent Ms Excel, Word & PowerPoint skills

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
