We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Administrator to join a well established company based Braunstone. You will be working in a busy Purchasing department where you will be supporting the team with all aspects of administration as well dealing with other departments and suppliers. The Purchasing Administration position is on a temp to perm basis and we are looking for someone to start ASAP, the working hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.

As the Purchasing Administrator, your duties will include the following;

  • To raise, process and email purchase orders to suppliers on a daily basis

  • Contacting suppliers for acknowledgement of orders on a daily basis

  • Chasing overdue deliveries daily and report any supply issues immediately

  • Check and book deliveries onto the computer system and forward delivery notes to Accounts

  • Contacting suppliers regarding incorrect deliveries and arranging uplifts

  • Review minimum stock holdings in line with the current sales trends and propose any adjustments when necessary

  • Liaising with all departments regarding purchasing related issues as requested

  • To prepare purchasing and stock related analysis reports as requested

  • To assist in the handling of customer complaints

  • Preparing reports for senior management

  • To participate in the annual stock take

  • To order consumables for the Warehouse and Production Departments based on weekly stock holding figures supplied

  • Ordering stationary as and when required

  • Any other reasonable duties requested by the Company Management

To be successful as the Purchasing Administrator you must be;

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Willing to learn and have a 'can do' attitude

  • Highly organised

  • Able to use own initiative and think outside of the box to resolve issues/queries

  • Have excellent written and verbal skills

  • Ability to prioritise workload

  • Have the ability to work as part of a small team or lone working
