Office Angels Durham are currently recruiting on behalf of an extremely successful company, who are looking to add an enthusiastic, motivated hire desk administrator to their team, based in Birtley.


Due to the urgency of this role it is ESSENTIAL that you are available to start work immediately, or alternatively have a short notice period (1-2 weeks).


This is a permanent position, however will initially start on a temporary basis with the view to becoming permanent for the right candidate.


Salary:£21'840. Working hours: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM.


This role would best suit an experienced hire desk administrator who preferably has experience within construction.



















Key Duties;


Ensure the smooth day to day running of the hire desk maximising efficiency, effectiveness and procedural compliance through the scheduling and allocation of resources. Work collaboratively to ensure that any problems are resolved quickly and that customer requirement are met and opportunities developed.




  • Provide effective line management support to drivers.

  • Deal with driver holiday requests taking appropriate decisions.

  • Allocate jobs in the most efficient and fair manner.

  • Overview driving and duty time to ensure the company adhere to working time guidelines.

  • Provide driver support through one to one or group sessions as required in collaboration with the Customer Service Manager.

  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally.

  • Record all incoming job data via in-house system.

  • Successfully resolve customer complaints.

  • Ensure the sales team are advised of any price queries to follow-up or opportunities to develop.

  • Use all tools and systems available to achieve a highly efficient and effective scheduling service including adherence to all procedures relating to driving, sweeping and waste carrier related activities.

  • Liaise with Senior Sales administrator and CSM in a professional manner and modify strategies accordingly to maximise opportunities to generate custom.

  • General Administration
