JOB TITLE: Administrator in External Affairs Team

JOB TYPE: Permanent

SALARY: £22500-24000

HOURS: 9:00am to 5:00pm

  • Admin role, helping with events, research, planning meetings, refreshing company documents and more

  • Create itineraries and time tables

  • Assist with plans to build support for key external initiatives as directed by the Deputy Chief Executive

  • Maintain a calendar of all events relating to ILC activities and relevant external events

  • Identify and take advantage of opportunities to promote and share the public affairs with key stakeholders, senior decision makers, parliamentarians and policy makers

  • Provide a secretariat service to the Chairman and members of the International Liaison Committee, including maintaining contacts with overseas organisations and assisting with the planning and delivery of events at home and abroad

  • Initiate support and maintain networks to gather information and contacts to support external work programmes

  • Assist with briefings, speeches and reports on external affairs and policy issues

  • Develop, support and nurture key relationships to maximise the impact of policy and external affairs work

  • Prioritise own time and resources to maximise both the quantity and quality of deliverables in relation to set objectives

  • Attend external meetings and conferences

  • Develop, support and nurture key relationships with stakeholders and other external contacts

  • Liaise with venue staff in the UK and overseas to ensure events go well

  • responding to enquiries as required on external affairs and policy matters

  • provide updates and reports


  • You have an interest in Current Affairs/Politics or Policy

  • You are confident

  • You are a great communicator

  • Organised with high level of attention to detail

*Or Equivalent
