We are looking for a friendly, bubbly and switched on receptionist. They are a well known PR Firm with focus on political relations but also undertake significant client work in the media relations field. We have consultants from a variety of backgrounds including government and the media.


JOB TITLE: Receptionist and Office Assistant


JOB TYPE: 12 month minimum (potential to stay on in the role/company)


SALARY: £21,000 - £25,000


COMPANY TYPE: PR Company


HOURS: 9:00am to 5:30pm


LOCATION: Holborn (*closest tube Holborn)


CULTURE: Friendly, social but professional company. Drinks once a month, Beers at desk on Friday etc

THE ROLE:




  • First 'welcome' in the office, answering & screening calls and taking deliveries.

  • Managing Royal Mail Paid Postage Impression system (PPI).

  • General administration, photocopying, binding, filing and ordering supplies such as stationery, food & drink, IT related products and reporting building management issues.

  • Managing diaries for client meetings, interviews and occasional PA support for Partners.

  • HR; attendance recording, staff lists, appraisal meetings and employment contracts.

  • Restaurant, hotel and travel arrangements to comply with company financial systems.

  • Managing supplier relations and point of contact for office staff with IT and telephone systems. Supporting staff and ensuring issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

  • Editing PowerPoint slides, setting up projectors, laptops and TV's for meetings.

  • Assisting external client events and internal social events i.e. name badges, mail outs, invitations and guest lists.

  • Assisting Office manager with credit control, initial first-line contact with clients.

  • As times goes on you will be taking on new duties, helping with other projects etc



ABOUT YOU:



  • Proactive attitude, high energy, a sense of urgency when required and a consistent 'caring' approach to the office. Initiative is key for this role.

  • Superb organisational skills, it is essential that the office runs smoothly so consultants can concentrate on servicing their clients.

  • Experience of working in a private/commercial company of a similar size

  • Professional and welcoming approach to dealing with Senior Clients when arriving for various office meetings

  • Previous experience of Reception/administrative role

  • Excellent IT Skills plus word, excel and PowerPoint proficiency
