Monday - Friday - £10-£11 per hour, Free Parking, 37.5 hours per week, potential for reduced hours if required.

I am recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant to start a long term temporary role on behalf of my established national client for their in Northampton offices. Knowledge of SAGE is essential.


  • Maintain approved supplier list and respond to supplier queries; provide support and training to project managers on use of the PO system. Ensure authorisation process is followed and checked against project budget. Set up new supplier accounts

  • Maintain purchase orders and raise queries on purchases outside the project budget; match and input purchase invoices to approved purchase orders

  • Raise batch payments.

  • Record staff expenses; reconcile fuel card statement to fuel receipts; reconcile company credit cards and petty cash, and raise the appropriate journal

  • Process and send sales invoices raised by project managers. Ensure project code, vat code, correct invoice address and scope description are correct along with any credit vetting procedures and collection activity. Ensure billing party is correct

  • Bank in cheques received and organise petty cash float

  • Run and produce project reports with assistance from Project Accountant and liaise with the group Finance Team (based in London) on setup of new customer accounts
