Role: Office Administrator (Distribution)


Hours: 9am - 5pm (Monday to Friday)


Location: Halifax


Salary: £18,000- £20,000 per annum


Contract: Permanent


Start date: ASAP

Our longstanding client based in Halifax is looking for an enthusiastic Office Administrator to support their busy office in various departments including Shipping and Accounts. The role would be ideal for someone who is looking to grow and develop within a company who encourage their staff to develop and learn new tasks!



This company is privately owned, established for over 30 years, employs around 50 employees and now they are looking for you to join them due to their fantastic success as a business!!



As an Office Administrator your duties will include:



  • Handle customer requests for invoices and proof of delivery documentation

  • Process customer credit/ debit card payments on the system

  • Match and process supplier invoices

  • Process Purchase Orders on behalf of Product Managers

  • Manage upkeep of physical files and gain knowledge of retention periods for specific documents

  • Scanning and indexing of documents

  • Become familiar with the company's electronic document management system for the processing, approval and indexing of external and internal electronic documentation.

  • The input, management and maintenance of customer, supplier, and transactional data on the in-house ERP system

  • Raise credit notes against customer goods and non-conforming products

  • All further office tasks and administration as required and specified



Skills and attributes required to be successful:



  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal

  • Flexible approach to work

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Organised and methodical way of working
