Pay Rate: £11.00 - £12.00 per hour (DOE)


Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm


Start Date: Immediate Start



Office Angels are delighted to be supporting an established Multi Academy Trust to appoint an experienced Office Administrator to take on day-to-day responsibility of administration duties across the academy. This role will enable you to bring real value to the team and ensure the successful running of a busy academy office.



Responsibilities will include:



  • Providing an efficient, friendly and welcoming front of house reception service including assisting visitors

  • Operating the signing in / out system; taking telephone calls; making appointments; distributing messages and processing enquiries

  • Providing an accurate service and handle cash where necessary to include school trips and lunches

  • Supporting the administration of the recruitment, selection of staff in the academy including, arranging site visits for prospective candidates; organise any on site shortlisting materials

  • Recording all employee absence in the appropriate manner, on the correct systems, following policies in place

  • Signposting colleagues to the appropriate HR team members for support as required

  • Completing accident reports forms and submit as appropriate of pupils

  • Recording accurate pupil medical details

  • Auditing information and completing the pupil census as required

  • Preparing reports for meetings

  • Operating the academy email inbox and accurately producing parent communications to include, letters; newsletters using approved social media platforms

  • Accurately recording details on the SIMS system to include pupil absence; staff details and Free School Meals

  • To book transport as required following appropriate guidelines.



Experience/ Skills required for this role:



  • Enhanced DBS Check (Essential)

  • Administration experience

  • Competent with using SIMS systems

  • Organisational skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to use initiative and make effective decisions

  • Ability to demonstrate adaptability and discretion of confidential matters

  • Previous experience working in a school setting (Desirable)

  • Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
