Office Angels Preston have a great permanent opportunity for an Office Administrator to join my client situated in central Chorley. The friendly team require assistance with general office duties; everything from covering reception, dealing with payroll, assisting on the shop floor and much more.


The role entails:


An all round front of house Office Administrator dealing with inbound and outbound calls, taking general customer queries, assisting directors with tasks on an ad-hoc basis, utilising their bespoke system to process jobs, dealing with basic payroll queries, and assisting the purchasing department too.


Responsibilities include:



  • Front of House general Receptionist duties.

  • Attending to customers on the shop floor so must have a confident and professional approach with a customer service driven attitude.

  • Dealing with inbound and outbound telephone calls - assisting with customer queries and taking jobs via the telephone and email - polite telephone mannerism - essential.

  • Utilising their bespoke in house system to process and record on going jobs.

  • Assisting with payroll duties - full training provided - no previous Accounts experience required.

  • Helping the purchasing department with administrative duties.

  • Shop floor assistance - liaising with customers to handle enquiries.

  • Liaising with directors on a regular basis with ad-hoc administrative tasks.


My client is looking for someone:



  • Experience as an Office Administrator/Receptionist - required

  • Ability to balance workload efficiently and manage time well

  • A polite and professional telephone mannerism

  • Proficiency in handling basic payroll enquiries and resolving them effectively

  • Purchasing experience - desired

  • Excellent communication skills in person, via email and over the telephone

  • Customer-oriented/customer-facing driven

  • IT Literate - training provided on in-house system but an understanding of Microsoft packages essential


In return my client offers:



  • Salary - £18,000 per annum

  • Full time: Monday - Friday

  • Hours: Mon - Thurs 8:00am - 4:15pm, Friday 8:00am - 3:00pm

  • Early finish on a Friday

  • 28 Days holiday (inc bank holidays)
