JOB TYPE: Office Administrator


CONTRACT: Maternity cover - 6 months


COMPANY: Trade Association


HOURS: 9:00am-17:00pm | Monday - Friday


SALARY: £25,000-£30,000 pa


LOCATION: Liverpool Street


WOW FACTOR: Exciting opportunity for a junior administrator to gain valuable experience working for a well-known association!


We are looking for an exceptional junior administrator looking to gain new experience, working within a close-knit, super friendly team, helping to manage the day-to-day office helping to contribute to the success of the company.


DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:



  • Answering telephones, taking precise messages and handling enquiries

  • Typing letters/documents/agendas/minutes

  • Taking minutes when necessary

  • Compose appropriate replies to correspondence and telephone calls, when necessary

  • Proof reading

  • Maintenance of contact database, updating where necessary

  • Maintain efficient filing systems

  • Photocopy, distribute, file and archive papers and documents

  • Circulating documents to Members

  • Ensuring post is opened and sorted correctly, photocopied as necessary, dealt with where applicable

  • Ordering necessary stationary, toners for photocopier, printers

  • Organising meetings where necessary

  • Making appropriate arrangements for meetings, booking rooms and travel

  • Ensuring funds are always available on franking machine

  • Ensuring supplies, refreshments are available for meetings

  • Clearing, tidying board room after meetings

  • Basic Accounts (producing invoices, updating petty cash, checking bank statements, following up outstanding balances, entering cheques for bank payment etc)


SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:



  • Ability to work as part of a small team

  • Ability to work using own initiative, forward thinking

  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Provide a high level of attention to detail
