ROLE - Network Technician

LOCATION - Office based, Burgess Hill, multiple sites in Sussex occasional travel (paid mileage)

SALARY - £13.50 an hour, ongoing temp, potential to go permanent

HOURS - 37.5 a week

About the role:

  • You will be responsible for ICT technical support and service delivery, providing support and maintenance to network, servers, software packages, ICT equipment and hardware.

  • Support service for multiple sites ICT networks, installation and configuration services for hardware and software

  • Third line remote/telephone support, technical support to staff, diagnose faults and problems; correct hardware, software and operating system settings

  • Support the management and security of the network and infrastructure, including software and hardware.

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date audits of all ICT software and hardware usage.

  • Monitoring and supporting back-ups both on premises and cloud-based, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date back-up audits.

  • Design and implement changes to the organisations ICT software and hardware and liaise with senior colleagues, external partners on the specifications of new software/hardware as appropriate.

  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance services for fileserver technologies

About you:

  • IT background with some experience of network and systems management within a small to medium sized user population

  • Experience of installing, configuring, and upgrading hardware and software

  • An ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems on newly implemented systems using the products manual for support.

  • Available immediately and ongoing

  • Car driver happy to travel between sites
