Mental Health Act Administrator

Office Angels are seeking an experienced Mental Health Act Administrator to join a Hospital based locally in Fareham. The main responsibility of this fantastic new position will be to manage the efficient administration of the Mental Health Act for residents and advising service policies and procedures. Working hours will be 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday and the client offers free parking on site.

Key duties of the role will include:

  • Supporting and advising staff, residents and their relatives on the Mental Health Act and associated procedures

  • Monitoring and recording changes in legal status and appropriate documentation

  • Processing hearings in relation to Mental Health Tribunals and Hospital Managers reviews

  • Providing statistical information and reports relating to the application of the Act for national reporting

  • Ensuring all errors on confidential documentation are rectified and compliant

The following experience is required for this position:

  • Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act Code and practise

  • To be able to read, understand, interpret and apply relevant legislation and current case law relating to the Act

  • Outstanding communication and organisation skills

  • Excellent IT skills and advanced use of Microsoft office packages

  • Working to tight deadlines and prioritising a busy work load

  • Previous administration experience including report preparation
