JOB TITLE: Membership Executive

COMPANY: Not for Profit

CONTRACT: Permanent

HOURS: 09:00am-17:00pm


SALARY: £27,000-£30,000 + Commission!

LOCATION: Old Street *Hybrid working*x2 days in the office!

Our client is a not-for-profit organisation that specialises within the Education sector, they are a very dynamic and collaborative team who are currently in a very busy period of the busy.

They are looking for a super eager, ambitious, and personable individual to support the Membership Department you will be passionate about giving back to the community, want to be part of an organisation that helps and supports others and be an integral part of a team!



  • Be the main point of contact for all existing members for any enquires or support they may have day to day

  • Support with new members enquiry to join or sign up

  • Dedicated to bringing new members into the Association, working with the wider membership team

  • Reaching out to potential new members over the telephone, in meetings around the country, and at trade shows and exhibitions

  • Work with the Membership Manager to create and implement recruitment campaigns across each year

  • Drive recruitment efforts and works with marketing to have a strong and continuous recruitment campaign.

  • Identifying new opportunities, including market mapping.

  • Attending local and national events to drive recruitment

  • Work collaboratively with the Events and Content team to curate, promote and market sponsorship packages.

  • Assists on account management

  • Work with the Membership Manager to support existing members making the most use of membership.

  • Manage pro-rata renewals and assist in the membership renewal cycle

  • Work with the finance department to ensure renewal invoices are raised and sent with reminders to members in their second year of membership (Pro-rata renewals)

  • Work with the Administrative Assistant and Membership Manager to complete the yearly membership renewal cycle.


  • Ability to write engaging copy - strong written English essential

  • Have strong presentation skills, with an ability to confidently present to large groups, in 121s, or to executives at board meetings, with an ability to change the pitch accordingly.

  • Be comfortable working with a sales pipeline, with regular reporting of progress against targets.

  • Be externally focused and enjoy networking and being proactive in finding new leads.

  • Be personable, presentable and have strong relationship-building skills - you will be representing the industry to companies around the country.

  • Have a demonstrable knowledge of, and passion for, the UK education suppliers sector (Optional - but a passion for education is a must!)

  • Experience working in a membership organisation if preferable but not necessary
