Job role: Medical Secretary (DBS Check Required)


Pay Rate: £10.00 - £11.00 per hour


Job Type: Temporary contract for up to 3 months


Hours of work: Full time hours (37.5 hours per week) between 8:00am - 8:00pm Monday to Friday


Location: Solihull


Start Date: Immediate Start


Job Overview: Office Angels have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Medical Secretary to join a well-established private health care provider. As the Medical Secretary your primary purpose will be to provide a comprehensive secretarial service to various consultants, deal with enquiries, correspondence and typing clinic letters/reports.


Additional responsibilities will include:



  • Scheduling patient appointments

  • Timely typing of clinic dictations

  • Co-ordinating patient referral letters and outpatient consultations

  • Managing individual consultant's diaries

  • Monitoring medical staff leave through diary management

  • Liaising with medical professionals as directed by consultants


Skills / Experience required:



  • Valid and enhanced DBS check

  • Significant experience of working as a secretary and / or in a clerical environment

  • Experience of working in a private health care practice (advantageous)

  • Ability to work well on a one to one and team basis

  • Audio typing experience

  • Experience of managing diaries and schedules

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Professional telephone manner

  • Ability to work to tight and conflicting deadlines
