Marketing Manager

Job Title: Marketing Manager (Full time or part time hours available)


Location: Taunton, Somerset. You must live locally but there is some flexibility for a mix of both office and home based working.


Salary: £35,000- £42,000 per annum dependant on experience


Hours: Flexible for the right candidate ( Minimum 25 hours per week, maximum 41.5 hours per week)

The Company: Our client is a leading engineering firm who supply products to a range of industries including marine, defence, aerospace, nuclear, utilities and industrial. They are a well renowned company in their field involved with multiple scale projects across the UK. You will be joining an established and longstanding team with exceptional work ethic.


The Role: This is a new role for the business as our client has most recently outsourced their marketing; therefore we are looking for an experienced candidate who is extremely passionate with prior knowledge of creating and executing a successful marketing plan. You will be organised and have high attention to detail with a proactive and forward thinking approach. This is an exciting opportunity to really put your stamp on the role and help the company progress to the next level.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Managing and increasing social media presence across all digital channels

  • Creating and implementing a clear marketing strategy

  • Reviewing customer trends

  • Researching marketing software and executing

  • Creating and updating brochures, flyers and price lists

  • Proof reading website material

  • Creating graphics for email signatures

  • Creating and sending tailored marketing mailshots to CRM customer database

  • Branding

  • Competitor Analysis and market research

  • Ensuring all marketing is compliant with GDPR

  • Managing and increasing social media presence across all digital channels

  • Creating and updating marketing material

  • Updating the website and producing relevant content

  • Creating and sending tailored marketing mailshots to CRM customer database

  • Competitor Analysis and market research

  • Under the direction and working alongside of the Managing Director /Sales Director, help reach the company's marketing goal, budgets and objectives

  • Organising and attending trade shows

  • Actively support the preparation of promotions, exhibition events, road shows to attract new clients

  • Improving customer contact strategies through a review of the company's CRM system and direct marketing strategies

  • Maintaining and enhancing the customer relationship management database (CRM)

  • Prospecting and carrying out reviews and cleansing of contacts

  • Review and improve company sales literature, company sales presentations and advertising material

  • Helping create new business leads and organising follow up activities

  • Researching market trends, demographics, pricing strategies, and other relevant information that helps develop marketing plans

  • Creating graphs, reports, and detailed data analysis using computer software

  • Developing blogs, twitter and other relevant social media accounts for brands, products, and services

  • Entering marketing data into spreadsheets and creating data, mail merge and financial reports for review when required

  • Maintaining excellent client relationships through customer service skills

  • Organising and planing the production of all major marketing materials by working closely with printers, sponsors, and other involved parties as and when required and in consultation with the Directors


Experience:



  • Experienced Marketing Manager with a proven track record

  • CIM or other recognised Marketing qualification

  • High level of understanding of MS software products excel, word, PowerPoint and other supporting software technologies
