Marketing Communications Officer

Location: Hounslow


Salary: £30,000 - £35,000


40 hours per week - Monday to Friday with the option to WFH x 1 day per week



Job Purpose:
As a Marketing Communications Officer you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining a positive reputation within the community. Reporting to the Business Manager and collaborating closely with the Group Communications Department, you'll ensure effective communication with key stakeholders, including Councillors, Resident Associations, and Community Groups. Your efforts will contribute to fostering a culture of exceptional customer care and promoting the positive services provided by our client.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
Coordinate timely responses to Councillor, FOI, and MP correspondence.
Maintain strong media relations in alignment with agreed protocols.
Develop and execute proactive campaigns to enhance reputation.
Create engaging content for various platforms, including social media, press releases, and website updates.
Actively manage media visits and crisis communication issues.
Contribute to the development of communication plans for specific projects.
Ensure compliance with company standards and style guides.
Support marketing activities, including brand management and event representation.
Skills and Experience:

Degree or relevant qualifications preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in external-facing communications or marketing roles.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and various social media applications.
Knowledge of social media strategies and best industry practices.
Creative, innovative, and detail-oriented mindset.
Strong problem-solving and investigative abilities.
Excellent work ethic, time management, and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
