Job Title: Management Accountant (Option to WFH)

Location: Dover

Salary: £30k-£35k

Duration: 9 month FTC

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am - 5pm

The role:

You'll be working within the Finance Team to maintain accurate and appropriate financial records, as part of the companies requirements on funded contracts or grants. You will need to contribute to the teams and organisation's strategic and company objectives. Prepare periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, analysis, and commentaries. Provide information to aid in management decision making through accurate and relevant reporting and analysis. Representing the team and organisation at scheduled meetings with key partners and stakeholders

As a Management Accountant your responsibilities would be:

  • Provide specialist support to the bid team

  • Analyse budget and financial performance information, providing solution focused advise, adding value through innovation

  • Continually providing insight to management on any arising financial issues and opportunities for continuous improvement

  • Implement and monitor controls for effectiveness

  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts, VAT returns, payroll and filing information

  • Cover absence for the Head of Finance, as required

Skills and experience required:

  • Part AAT qualified

  • Previous experience working in an accounting role

  • Experience producing management accounts and reports for those at a Senior Management level

  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills

  • Sage Line 50 experience would be an advantage
