Management Accountant - Great company, WFH 1 day a week

We seeking a Management Accountant to join our client, a friendly, ambitious and growing interiors brand. Our office of 35 people is friendly, upbeat and seeking somebody who love accountancy and wants to work in an established startup (circa £1million in sales per month), embarking on a new period of growth.

JOB TITLE: Management Accountant


JOB TYPE: Permanent


SALARY: £36,000 - £40,0000 depending on experience



COMPANY TYPE: Lifestyle homeware brand


HOURS: 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, flexi hours potentially available and work from home options available (one day a week)
LOCATION: Broxbourne/Waltham Abbey Area

Duties



  • Monthly Management Accounts production and preparation of MI Reports

  • Detailed analysis and commentaries relating to P&L, Cash Flow forecasts and Balance Sheet reconciliation.

  • Journals, accruals and prepayments.

  • Assisting with Year-End accounting process and Annual Audit Schedule

  • Maintenance of Fixed Asset register

  • Driving process improvements and implementing new ideas.

  • Adhoc analysis to give insight into business performance.

  • Project-based duties as required

  • Payroll

  • Invoicing

  • VAT

  • Corporation Tax Returns

  • The ideal candidate will be ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You must display the ability to work effectively with non-finance staff in order to translate information and produce clear and concise reports.



About You



  • You have a passion for finance

  • You are highly organised, detail orientated and meticulous

  • You are capable of working independently without being micro-managed

  • An ability to analyse and make recommendations to improve internal processes

  • Previous experience in a retail/ eCommerce business

  • Able to work to tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure
